Oil tank is not longer "up to code" and no one will fill it. We have switched to getting tractor diesel fuel but we are looking into converting our steam boiler, which is running fine, to propane. We have run into the same problem as the original post of this forum - have to convert the entire system, not a good idea, change the system, etc.

Use coal/wood/natural gas/fuel oil/electricity to heat the reactor and the liquid oil will slowly become oil gas which will be liquefied into fuel oil by the cooling pipe and condensers and then go into oil tank For getting higher quality diesel you are required to control the temperature over 150 Celsius degrees

Read MoreDerating Gas Burners. Derating, or down-firing, is the practice of installing a lower gallon per hour (GPH) rated nozzle in a gas-fired appliance to reduce fuel use in the event that your boiler or furnace is oversized. Doing so properly often requires reconfiguring the shape/size of the combustion chamber and/or adjusting the fuel pump pressure.

Given the date that Steamhead dated the company I'd guess that "all fuel" is Stoker Coal, oil, or gas (see my other post on that). However, before converting to wood please consider how are you going to control the steam pressure.
